Good morning all,
We have some more snow falling here in Springfield and it'll freshen up the good amount that we have on the trails for this week.
A couple of announcements to start things off.
This week we will be CLASSIC skiing. That means we need folks to arrive a little bit earlier to practice and have put the correct kick wax on their skis before we can get onto the snow. I'll let folks know which wax we're going to use for the day. This is often something that brings out some anxiety for new skiers, but don't worry, you will get it down pretty quickly. Here is a short video on putting kick wax on your skis.
We will also be on the base area for the first part of this week as Proctor will start making snow on the Nordic trails Sunday night.

If you are planning on skiing at the Holderness Eastern Cup (very few of you), please register on SkiReg asap and let me know so I can let the wax team from Dublin XC know how many to prepare for as they will be providing wax support at the races next weekend.

Monday- Practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 pm Classic technique work
Tuesday- Practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 pm Classic intervals. chariot races
Wednesday- Practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 pm Classic distance (hopefully on the big loop
Thursday- Practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 pm Classic technique work
Friday- Practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 pm Classic EC skiers race prep, others intervals
Looking ahead, if you want to see what an Eastern Cup looks like, heading over ton the Holderness School on either Saturday or Sunday next weekend is a great chance to see what those races are like and cheer on your teammates.
We will be practicing over the holiday break as we start racing once we're back to school. The schedule is on the calendar but it looks like this: December 22, 23, 27, 29, 30, 31, Jan 2. MS is optional for these, but HS needs to attend unless excused.
