Good morning.

With the wonderfully frosty weather outside, we are on the cusp of another Nordic season. I was able to see some friends out skiing on snow (via social media) in Middlebury, Jay and northern NH yesterday, so to borrow a phrase-- Winter is coming.

This week will be a bit of a flying by the seat of our pants week with the predicted weather coming in for Sunday. The amount of rain (sub-optimal precipitation) shouldn't be much, but the temperatures in the low 40s could make it very challenging.

That said, Leigh Stepp and Carrie Deegan have suggested having some kids who are available to one or two places on Thursday afternoon this week. I'm committed to work and the Fall coaches' meeting, but if that's a possibility for some kids and parents, I'll contact our "clients" and see who'd like us to come on Thursday.

High school athletes who are done with their fall sport should be ramping up some ski training this week with getting on roller skis and working on some intervals (at least two sessions of intervals), for Middle school skiers, getting out running, biking, or roller skiing should be in the plan.

Remember that we are planning on meeting at the high school at 7:30 am on Sunday. Please fill out this form for planning purposes for Sunday (and Thursday)
