Good morning!
First, THANK YOU for all you all did yesterday. It was a wonderful day of skiing and community for NH Nordic skiing and everyone did amazing.
I will put together a shout out list a little later as I'm working on the start lists for Wednesday's race that we are hosting. We will need folks to assist with the race. It is a Classic sprint and if any of you were at last week's race at Dublin, it will run in a very similar fashion. Here's the plan:
1:30 pm Teams can arrive
2:30 HS Girls Qualifier (2 every 15 seconds)
3:00 HS Boys Qualifier (2 every 15 seconds)
3:30 MS Qualifier (2 every 15 seconds)
4:00 HEATS (heats will run continuously right after each other)
HS Girls Semi #1 (10 skiers)
HS Girls Semi #2 (10 skiers)
HS Boys Semi #1 (10 skiers)
HS Boys Semi #2 (10 skiers)
MS Girls Final (10 skiers)
MS Boys Final (10 skiers)
HS Girls Final (10 skiers)
HS Boys Final (10 skiers)
Once the heats start, it will be fast and furious, but we only need to do the places, no timing for the HEATS!
It is also a much smaller race, as few as 118 skiers total, as many as 138
We also have the MS obstacle race at Holderness on Tuesday. This is a fun race with hay bales, slalom, hoops, ditches, and optional jumps. The MS skiers all love it.
This is also the week before MS State Championships on Monday, February 16. That race is at the Sandwich Fairgrounds and it's a great celebration of MS skiing in the state.
I will also be absent from practice on Thursday and Friday as I'm going to be the Technical Delegate (a certified official responsible for ensuring the safety, fairness, and strict adherence to regulations of a competition acting as the primary representative of the governing federation. They inspect venues, oversee course design, supervise competition juries, manage rule compliance, and submit post-event reports to improve future events) at the Williams College Carnival in Woodford, VT.
Here's the week:
Monday: practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 CLASSIC technique day
Tuesday: MS @ Holderness Obstacle Course race (no bus); HS CLASSIC practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 technique work
Wednesday: Race @ Proctor (times above), I will confirm bus situation.
Thursday: practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 FREESTYLE recovery and fun ski
Friday: practice @ Proctor 4:00-5:30 FREESTYLE speed and endurance
Coming up:
Monday, February 16, 2026 MS State Championships @ Sandwich Fairgrounds!
That's it for now.
